The Master Behind The Craft
I’m Dustin Stelzer, a Master Electrician with more than 20 years of hands-on experience bringing complex, high-end electrical systems to life in some of Austin’s most exclusive custom homes. My career began the traditional way – working long days in the field, learning from the ground up, and developing not only technical mastery but also a deep respect for the artistry and precision that true craftsmanship requires.
In addition to my work in the field, I am also the founder of Electrician U, the educational platform that has become a trusted resource for millions of electricians, apprentices, contractors, and trade schools across the United States. Through this platform, I’ve produced hundreds of training courses, articles, and videos designed to elevate the standard of the trade and inspire electricians to pursue excellence rather than shortcuts. Electrician U is now one of the most recognized voices in the electrical industry – proof that my passion for the craft resonates far beyond the walls of any single home.
My work and expertise have led to opportunities to share my perspective on a larger stage. I’ve been featured on The Today Show, highlighted on local news outlets, and invited to speak at industry conferences and training events across the country. From classrooms to convention centers, I’ve taught other electricians what true craftsmanship means and why it matters. But while I value the privilege of teaching at that scale, my greatest satisfaction still comes from the one-on-one work of transforming a residence into something extraordinary – ensuring that every detail of its electrical design lives up to the beauty and intent of the architecture around it.
